Joseph Michael Gatti
Born in Warwick, New York,and raised in Orlando, Florida, Joseph Michael Gatti began dancing at the Orlando Ballet School in Florida, continuing his training with Vadim Fedotov and Irina Depler.
Gatti danced with Orlando Ballet as an apprentice from 2001 to 2003, under the direction of Fernando Bujones. Gatti was awarded the Gold Medal and a scholarship to London’s Royal Ballet School after competing in the Youth American Grand Prix Ballet Competition in 2003 under the direction of Orlando Molina.
Gatti joined the American Ballet Theater Studio Company for the 2004-2005 Season, and became the first American male dancer to win the prestigious gold medal at the New York International Ballet Competition. Gatti was a principal dancer with Cincinnati Ballet during the 2007-2008 Season, a principal dancer with Corella Ballet, and most recently a first soloist with Boston Ballet. Gatti is currently a Principal Dancer, traveling and performing notable ballet roles across the country and world.
